We replace your comprehensive insurance for the season, and the Stalla workshop is under the same roof — so when you collect the car in spring, it is in better condition than when you brought it.
What you are actually buying
Not square metres. The fact that in spring you turn the key and drive — the car is in the same condition it arrived in last autumn. Often better.
Dry and steady 18+ °C
A ventilated, dry and warm indoor space. Salt, slush and sub-zero temperatures stay outside. An unheated garage — or a car left under a plastic cover — can actually collect more moisture than one standing outdoors.
Tyres stay round
Every car stands on a battery conditioner and under a cover. Standing in one position for months flattens one spot on the tyre, and a fully discharged battery may never take a charge again — these are the two most common winter problems.
Comprehensive insurance is on us
While in storage, your car is covered by Stalla's insurance. You do not need to keep your own comprehensive cover running through the winter or pay premiums on a car that is not moving — over a season that is several hundred euros on its own.
Security and care
Cameras, an automatic fire alarm and smart locks. The cars are not on public view and nobody enters the building who does not belong there. Keys are kept in a locked safe.
Stalla is in the same building
Your car does not have to travel anywhere to be put right. Paint protection film, a ceramic coating, paint correction or simply a thorough clean — all of it happens right here, and precisely while the car is not being used anyway.
Your own garage frees up
A summer car, a classic or a project car does not have to take up garage space at home all winter, space you need for other things. You gain room at home without leaving anything outdoors.
Who it is for

The building was made for vehicles that an Estonian winter either damages or makes pointless to use. If your car is on this list, this place is for you.
Summer car and convertible
A car you do not take out into road salt. In winter it has no business standing outdoors or in an unheated garage.
Classic and collector car
An older body fears moisture most of all. Steady temperature and dry air matter more here than anywhere else.
Sports and supercars
A Porsche, a Ferrari or anything else that low. We have built the conditions to store even the lowest vehicles.
Motorcycle and snowmobile
A seasonal vehicle stored for half the year. With an annual space, a car takes the place in winter and a snowmobile in summer.
Project car
The only condition is that the vehicle must not leak fluids.
Second and third car
A car that is in the way on the drive and no longer has room at home.

Stalla × Masinawärk
The vehicle may stand still out of season. The interest in machines does not have to.
When several dozen people bring in a car they genuinely care about, something more than a storage hall appears. Under one roof there is a small private motor show, where the next bay holds someone else's interesting machine and beside it stands someone worth talking to.
We are doing this together withwith Masinawärk, who have been bringing Estonian car culture together for years. The club side starts with the autumn 2027 season and will then be a paid extra — but not for Founder members.

Winter is the right time to put the car right
You want to enjoy a summer car in summer, not take it to a workshop — that is a large part of why jobs go undone year after year. In winter that reason disappears, because the car is standing anyway.
Stalla services are easy to use here, because the workshop is under the same roof. If needed we will take the vehicle elsewhere in an enclosed trailer — to a dealer for servicing, or to a body and paint shop.
Paint protection film
XPEL Ultimate Plus or Stealth. Front end, touring package or every coverable surface. The work takes days, not hours — in winter that does not matter.
Surface protection coating
Gives the vehicle a dirt-repellent layer that is easy to maintain. Polishing first is recommended, so the coating does not lock in existing scratches.
Interior and detailing
Leather, textiles, ventilation and glass. Time-consuming work that would otherwise mean a week without the car.
Spring handover
Give us a day's notice — the vehicle will be prepared, charged and as ready for the season as you are.
We make the offer when the vehicle arrives for storage — we listen to what the owner actually wants. After a proper wash we can also see for ourselves what is genuinely worth doing.
The price depends on make, model and the condition of the paint, so we look the car over on arrival and make a precise offer. As a storage customer every job costs you less.
How it works
Four steps.
Booking
You fill in the form. We review the request and get in touch within one working day.
Handover in
We bring the car inside and show you around. We take photographs, record the condition and mileage, and agree what will be done over the winter.
Winter
The car stands still while we check the battery conditioners and its condition regularly. If you ordered work, it is done at the agreed time and you get photographs before and after. You are always welcome to come and see your vehicle.
Spring
You tell us a day in advance. The car is washed, charged and ready to drive by the time you arrive.
Common questions
Before you ask, we have answered a few questions.
Can I get to my car during the winter?
Yes. With an annual space the car is ready to drive within 24 hours. With a seasonal space it is by arrangement. Weekends and evenings are possible by arrangement if you let us know early. In spring, when the cars start leaving the hall, we hand them over on Saturdays too — because the first warm weekend is exactly when you want your car. With a seasonal space your car may be behind others, so give us a couple of days' notice. From 2027, once the club room is finished, annual customers will move to round-the-clock access with a personal code.
Do I have to leave the keys?
Yes. The cars stand close together and sometimes another car has to be moved to get yours out. Keys are kept in a locked cabinet and every movement is logged.
Do I need to keep my own comprehensive insurance?
No. While in storage your car is covered by Stalla's insurance, so there is no need to keep your own comprehensive cover running on a car that is standing still. You will receive the exact terms of the policy — covered risks, excess and exclusions — together with the storage contract, before you sign.
What if the roadworthiness test expires during storage?
We keep an eye on when your roadworthiness test is due. If it falls inside the storage period, we take the car for the test and bring it back, so you do not have to come in. The service costs the state fee plus 49 €; order it in the calculator or mention it when you drop the car off.
What happens to the battery?
Every car is connected to a battery tender and the tenders are checked regularly. If you wish, we will also start the vehicle from time to time.
Which cars do you not accept?
Only leaking ones. A car dripping oil or coolant damages the building. If in doubt, we check it on arrival.
Is an unregistered or unfinished project car welcome?
It is. We do not require the car to be roadworthy or registered. If the project needs a dry, warm place, it has one.
Can I take the car away mid-season?
Yes, if you are an annual customer. The fee for the remaining period still stands, but the contract can be transferred to someone else or the space filled with another vehicle.
Will you tell me how the car is doing during the winter?
If you ordered work, we send before and after photos. Otherwise we will not fill your inbox — the car is standing still and is checked regularly.
Can I work on the car myself there?
The storage hall is not a workshop, so you cannot carry out repairs there yourself. The workshop is right next door, though: Stalla can do the work, or take your vehicle to another workshop of your choice in an enclosed trailer.
How many cars are there?
The number of spaces is limited and they fill up at the start of the season. In summer 2027 we are adding stacker lifts, which will create more spaces.
Can I store a motorcycle or other hobby machine?
Yes. With an annual space the place is yours for the whole year and you can use it as you like — a car in winter, a motorcycle or snowmobile in summer. You can collect anything with 24 hours' notice
How far are you from Tallinn?
Läike tee 32/2, Peetri in Rae parish — about ten minutes from Ülemiste and a quarter of an hour from central Tallinn. The entrance is off the Tartu road.
What does car storage cost in total?
Payment is made up front for the whole period. An annual space (12 months) is 2,388 € for a car, i.e. 199 € a month; 840 € for an ATV or snowmobile, i.e. 70 € a month; and 660 € for a motorcycle, i.e. 55 € a month — one free month and a wash before storage are included. A seasonal space (6 months) is 219 € a month for a car, 79 € for an ATV and 59 € for a motorcycle; the wash is 99 € extra. Prices exclude VAT; in the calculator you can switch to prices including VAT (an annual space is then 247 €/month).

Car storage in Tallinn and the surrounding area
Stalla Autohoid is at Läike tee 32/2 in Peetri, Rae parish — just beyond the Tallinn boundary, about ten minutes from Ülemiste and a quarter of an hour from the city centre. The entrance is straight off the Tartu road, so a car with a low front end does not have to manoeuvre through narrow yards.
Our customers come from Tallinn, Harju county, the Rae, Kiili and Viimsi parishes and further afield — with winter storage it makes little difference whether the building is five or fifty kilometres away, because you may well drive there twice a season.
Why winter storage saves the car
Three things decide the condition of a car standing through winter: humidity, steadiness of temperature, and whether anyone looks at the car in between. A dry, warm and ventilated room holds the first two; checking conditioners and covers handles the third. An unheated garage does neither — condensation collects under the body and the car takes on more moisture than one standing outdoors.
